Photo Submission Rules
Last updated: August 17, 2026
Eligibility
The Goodbye Coffee “On the Bag” photo program is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. We do not accept submissions from anyone under 18, and there is no parent or guardian route — the form will refuse a date of birth under 18. Employees of Goodbye Holding Company LLC and their immediate families may submit, but are not eligible for selection.
This is not a contest
No purchase is necessary, and buying something does not improve your chances. This is not a sweepstakes, contest of skill, or lottery, and there is no prize. Photos are chosen by the Goodbye Coffee team at our sole discretion, and we are under no obligation to select or use any submission. Being selected is not compensated — see Rights and License below.
How it works
Goodbye Coffee prints a real rider’s photo on the front panel of every bag, credited by name. Photos are selected from the pool of submissions for each print round.
- One photo per submission. You may submit more than once.
- Selected photos may appear on packaging, advertising, the website, and social media.
- Your name and city may be printed alongside your photo as a credit.
Photo requirements
- JPEG, PNG, or HEIC format
- Minimum 3,000 pixels on the long edge
- Maximum file size: 25 MB
- Portrait and landscape orientations both accepted
- No watermarks, borders, or added text overlays
We may reject any submission for any reason, including image quality, subject matter, or content we consider unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We may remove or stop using a photo at any time without notice.
Rights and license
The submission form asks you to confirm six things. This section explains what each one means. In this section, “we,” “us,” and “Goodbye Coffee” mean Goodbye Holding Company LLC d/b/a Goodbye Coffee.
1. Age
You confirm you are 18 or older. Submissions from under-18s are refused, and if we discover that a submitter was under 18 we will delete the submission and will not use the photo.
2. Ownership and authority
You confirm that you took the photo, or that you have the photographer’s permission to submit it and to grant the license below. If you did not take the photo, you must give us the photographer’s name and email on the form so we can send them a separate release to sign. You confirm your submission does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
3. License grant
You grant Goodbye Holding Company LLC d/b/a Goodbye Coffee a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, crop, colour-correct, distribute, publicly display, and publicly perform your submitted photo and any caption you provide, in whole or in part, in any medium now known or later developed, including:
- retail product packaging that we sell;
- advertising and marketing in any channel, paid or organic;
- the Goodbye Coffee website and email;
- social media accounts operated by us or on our behalf; and
- trade, press, and point-of-sale materials.
You keep ownership of your photo. This license is non-exclusive, so you remain free to use, license, or sell your photo however you like. We may sublicense these rights to printers, agencies, retailers, and other vendors working on our behalf.
No compensation. You will not be paid for the license or for any use of your photo, and no further permission or notice is required before we use it. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials.
To the extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights or rights of attribution and integrity in the photo. Where those rights cannot be waived, you agree not to assert them against us.
4. Model release
You confirm that every person recognizable in the photo is 18 or older and has agreed to appear on retail packaging and in advertising, and has granted the same rights described above in their name, likeness, and image. We do not print photos in which a recognizable subject is a minor. We may ask you for signed releases before using a photo, and we may decline to use a photo if you cannot provide them.
5. Credit
If we select your photo, we may print your first name, last name, and city as a credit alongside it, and may identify you as the photographer in captions and marketing. Credit is at our discretion and is not guaranteed; failure to credit you is not a breach of these rules. Tell us at the address below if you would rather not be credited by name.
6. Your responsibility
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Goodbye Holding Company LLC, its officers, employees, and vendors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your submission or your breach of these rules, including any claim that your photo infringes someone’s rights or that a person in it did not consent.
The program is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the program or your submission. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the program will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

What we collect
When you submit, we collect your first and last name, email address, city and state, date of birth, and the photo itself along with any embedded metadata such as camera settings, capture time, and GPS location. Phone number, Instagram handle, and caption are optional. If you did not take the photo, we collect the photographer’s name and email.
Why we collect it
To review submissions, to contact you if your photo is selected, to print your credit, to confirm you are old enough to grant the license, and to obtain a release from a third-party photographer. We use date of birth only to confirm you are 18 or older.
Who sees it
Your submission is handled by Goodbye Coffee staff and by service providers acting on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, and printing. We do not sell your personal information. We do not publish your email address, phone number, or date of birth. If your photo is selected, your name and city may be published as described above.
How long we keep it
Submissions stay in the pool indefinitely and may be selected for any future print round. We do not automatically delete them. You may ask us to delete your submission and personal information at any time using the contact address below, and we will do so within 30 days, except where we must retain records of a license for a photo already printed.
Your choices
Email list and social tagging are separate optional opt-ins on the form; you can decline both and still submit. You can unsubscribe from email at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA by writing to the address below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
This program is for adults only. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. The form refuses a date of birth under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.
Timeline
There is no submission deadline. Photos remain in the pool indefinitely and may be selected for any future print round. Goodbye Coffee does not auto-delete submissions.
Changes to these rules
We may update these rules. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will not retroactively alter the license you granted for a photo you already submitted.
