Subscription Questions

How does the subscription work?
Pick a plan (monthly or yearly), and we'll send you a freshly roasted bag of coffee from a different independent roaster every month. Each delivery includes tasting notes and the roaster's story. It shows up at your door. You brew it. That's it.
How much does a subscription cost? +
Monthly is $18.99/month. Yearly is $16.99/month (billed annually at $203.88). Both include free shipping.
Can I skip a month? +
Yes. Log into your account and skip before the 25th of the month. You won't be charged for skipped months on a monthly plan
Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling? +
Yes. You can pause for up to 3 months. After that, your subscription will either resume or cancel based on your preference.
Do you offer gift subscriptions? +
Yes. You can gift 3, 6, or 12 months. The recipient gets an email on the date you choose and manages their own account from there.
What if I don't like the coffee one month? +
Part of the experience is discovery, and not every bag will be your all-time favorite. That said, if something is genuinely wrong with your order (damaged, stale, missing), reach out to hello@goodbyecoffee.com and we'll make it right.

Coffee Questions

What kind of coffee do you send?
It changes every month. We feature small-batch, independently roasted coffee from across the country. Expect single origins, small blends, and typically light to medium roasts that let the bean's character shine.
Can I choose my roast level or origin? +
Not at this time. The surprise is part of the experience. We curate each month's selection carefully, and we lean toward coffees that are approachable but interesting.
Is the coffee whole bean or ground? +
Whole bean. We recommend grinding fresh for the best flavor. If you need it pre-ground, let us know at hello@goodbyecoffee.com and we'll see what we can do.
How fresh is the coffee? +
Every bag is roasted within days of shipping. We coordinate directly with our roaster partners to ensure freshness. No warehouse sitting. No old stock.
How much coffee is in each bag? +
12 ounces (340g). That's roughly 20-25 cups depending on your brew method and how strong you like it

Mugsy Kit Questions

What is a Mugsy Kit?
It's a recycled coffee cup planter kit. It comes with a cup (with a Mugsy sticker), drainage rocks, soil, grass seed, and fertilizer. You plant the seeds, water them, and grow Mugsy's grass hair. He's a desk companion, a conversation starter, and a small act of gardening.
How much is a Mugsy Kit? +
$13.99 plus shipping.
How long does it take for the grass to grow? +
You should see sprouts in 5-7 days. Full grass hair takes about 2-3 weeks, depending on sunlight and watering.
Can I regrow Mugsy's hair if it dies? +
Yes. If the grass dies, you can replant with any standard grass seed. Just remove the old growth, add fresh soil if needed, reseed, and water.
Is the cup waterproof? +
The cup is treated to be water-resistant for normal watering. Avoid soaking it or leaving it in standing water. If you're worried about your desk, place Mugsy on a small plate or coaster.
Can kids use the Mugsy Kit? +
Absolutely. It's a great activity for kids — easy to set up, fun to watch grow, and teaches basic gardening. Adult supervision recommended for very young children (small parts).

Shipping Questions

Is shipping free?
Free shipping on all subscription orders within the continental US. Mugsy Kit orders ship at a flat rate. Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders may have additional charges.
When does my order ship? +
Subscription boxes ship during the first week of each month. Mugsy Kit orders ship within 3-5 business days of purchase.
Do you ship internationally? +
Not yet. We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is on our roadmap.
Can I track my order? +
Yes. You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships.

Account Questions

How do I manage my subscription?
Log into your account at goodbyecoffee.com. From there you can skip months, update your address, change plans, or cancel.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it? +
Click "Log In" and then "Forgot Password." We'll send a reset link to your email.
Can I change my shipping address? +
Yes. Update it in your account settings before the 25th of the month to ensure your next delivery goes to the right place.
